A theory pass is valid for two years. Within that window you need to pass your practical test, or you'll have to take the theory again.
Once your theory's passed, Intensive Driving Courses Wales run 1-to-1 crash courses across South & West Wales, manual or automatic.
See intensive courses →You'll get a pass certificate number when you pass. You need it to book your practical test, so keep the email safe.
Book through the official service at gov.uk. The practical test costs £62 on weekdays and £75 on evenings, weekends and bank holidays. In busy areas, waiting times can run to several months, so book as soon as your instructor thinks you're getting close — you can always move it.
The DVSA suggests most learners need around 45 hours of lessons plus ~22 hours of private practice. Quality practice on the manoeuvres and roads you find hardest matters more than raw hours. Want the numbers? See the cost of learning to drive.
If you're reading ahead, focus on passing the theory first — free mock tests and our study plan will get you there.
