Large-vehicle licences are split into C categories (goods vehicles / lorries) and D categories (passenger vehicles / buses and coaches). The "+E" versions add the entitlement to tow a large trailer.

To drive in any of these categories you pass the lorry and bus theory test (Driver CPC Part 1) and the practical test for that category. To drive professionally you also need the full Driver CPC. The theory and hazard perception parts are the same whichever C or D category you're targeting.
